"Whilst studying for my NVQ Business Administration levels 2 and 3 with SMART, I learnt a lot about my job and the way I work. I built up knowledge and skills that were required in my administrative role. I learnt about legislation and an understanding of performance management, and of the guidelines, procedures and codes of practice relevant to my job. I also learnt about the importance of security and confidentiality. The experience of completing the various study units greatly enhanced my written communication skills.
I was made redundant while I was studying for my NVQ3 and despite not getting another job for a few months; I was able with the help and encouragement of SMART to continue my studies with my new employer. The apprenticeship has served me well, teaching me to carry out tasks to a high standard, to keep to a timetable and to have a target of achievement. I consider this to have resulted in me being a more efficient and valuable employee. In my current employment, I have received 2 promotions".
