WSET Foundation Certificate in Wines
This qualification provides a basic introduction to the main styles of wines available to all staff involved in the sale and service of wine in restaurants, hotels and bars.
The candidate will be able to successfully complete a multiple choice paper, a food and wine matching excerise, and a portfolio of tasting notes.
Course Aim
To provide the basic product knowledge and skills in the service of wine required to prepare a person for their first job in hospitality . It introduces the candidate to the main styles of wine; a systematic approach to tasting, the matching of food and wine and the characteristics of the common grape varieties.
