WSET Intermediate Certificate in Wines and Spirits
This qualification is intended as a vocational training in product knowledge for those employed in the drinks industry with a basic knowledge of the range of alcoholic beverages available.
Others with a lively interest in wine would find the structured learning useful—and enjoyable!
It is recommended that students complete at least 14 hours of personal study in addition to classroom sessions. Assessment is a 50 question multiple choice examination.
Course Aim:
To produce a good level of product knowledge including; how wine is made; key grape varieties; wine producing regions; sparkling, sweet and fortified wines; labels; food and wine matching; a systematic approach to wine tasting
