Programme
This new and exciting programme aims to help young people gain the skills and knowledge, to enable them to progress to an apprenticeship, employment or further education and training.
This is done through a range of activities which include: Active learning through work experience, employment skills such as writing CV’s and job application letters along with developing interview skills, increasing English, maths and ICT functional skills, gaining a range of nationally recognised qualifications such as Personal Money Management, Exploring Enterprise and Sustainable Development along with developing personal and social skills such as confidence building, working effectively as part of a team, rights and responsibilities..
At the end of the programme, a learner can feel confident that they will be able to:
- Enjoy their achievements and progress onto an apprenticeship, into employment or further education and training.
- Work effectively with other people and make a positive contribution to others.
- Have confidence in their use of number and communication skills.
- Maintain a safe and healthy lifestyle.
- Understand how they can move forward with their career aspirations and achieve economic wellbeing.
This full time programme is available for those aged 16-19 years who:
- Have reached the statuary minimum school leaving age.
- Are not currently engaged in any other government funded training programme.
- Are ordinarily resident of the E.U. for the last three years.
Our specialised Foundation Learning Centres are fully equipped with a range of tutoring rooms, including ICT Suite and Training Kitchen*. Group sizes are kept low to maximise the opportunity for all learners to achieve their full potential and are supported by a team of fully qualified specialist tutors.
