Smart Roadshow 2007
Every Child Matters was the theme for our roadshow in St. Thomas’s Square, Newport on 7th July. It was a great success and we were able to speak to many young people about their career ambitions, Connexions advisors were also able to offer information and advice.
We were supported by the talented vocalist Lewis Berry who entertained the crowds, and the Ceri Irish Dancers performed their traditional dances led by their teacher Katie Collins, who is also a Smart employee.
We lost count of how many faces Cindy Prince painted!
The 5 A Day message was given by Community Chef Paul Rogers who made over 500 pink smoothies and vegetable wraps showing how children of all ages can eat healthily. Island Quitters were also on hand to distribute information on how to give up smoking.
